Part Time Lab Manager – Purdue Technology Center. 24 hours per week.  Excellent Pay.

AgXelerators Inc. is a start-up company helping Innovators revolutionize the landscape of Agricultural crop protection, crop health, crop production, soil health and soil regeneration.

Our company mission is to accelerate the development of innovative Discovery Research Ag Biologicals and Chemicals into commercially viable formulated products.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated professional to help manage our newly established Formulation R&D laboratory located in the Purdue Technology Center.

Key Responsibilities:

• Laboratory Operations:
  • Oversee day-to-day operations.
  • Maintain laboratory inventory, including reagents, consumables, and equipment, and ensure their proper storage and calibration.
  • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of laboratory facilities and equipment.
  • Implement laboratory safety protocols, ensuring a secure and hazard-free environment for all.
  • Ensure implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all lab processes to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the proper labeling and disposal of laboratory waste.
  • Continuous improvement of all work activities in a laboratory setting.
• Team Leadership:
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment with scientists.
• Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices in laboratory techniques.
• Budget Management:
  • Contribute to the development and management of the laboratory budget, optimizing resources and ensuring cost-effectiveness.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Associates or Bachelors degree in Chemistry or related field.
• Experience in a laboratory setting
• Demonstration of strong organizational capabilities.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety practices, chemical handling, and waste disposal procedures.
